CRASH REPAIRS

Cardock operate our own dedicated crash repair facility refitted with the latest equipment in 2012. We carry out repair work for our customers and on behalf of all the major insurance companies.
Like our service business our goal is to bring you a quality of service higher than the our competitors at a far more competitive price.

INSURANCE CLAIM

Cardock crash repairs will process your claim with all major insurance companies to ensure a speedy and quality repair to your car. In the past, the price of car crash repairs could fluctuate greatly.

In recent years things have become a lot more predictable. The insurance companies and the garages use a common computer system that estimates the work being carried out.

So for example if you damage your bumper in an accident, the computer system has pricing on the parts including all clips and brackets required as well as the labour, paint & materials required.

This has greatly improved the process for all parties involved. The insurance companies know exactly what they are paying for and the garage can offer a pre-determined price that all parties can agree on. See below to find out about our 4 step process:

HOW IT WORKS - 4 STEP PROCESS:

STEP 1 - CONTACT

Contact Cardock when you have had an incident with the car. We record all your details and liaise with your insurance company who authorise us to repair the car. They will pay us directly for the repair and you do not need to worry about the repair cost.

STEP 2 - COLLECTION

Cardock will come and collect your car from your house or workplace. We can also provide you with a replacement car (the cost of this may be covered by your insurance company). If you prefer, you can deliver your car to our convenient city centre location beside the DART, LUAS or BUS. We are located on Lombard St East just at the rear of Trinity college.

STEP 3 - ASSESS

Cardock assess the car and meet with an assessor from your insurers to agree the repair cost. In doing so we ensure that the insurers are replacing all damaged panels and parts where appropriate.

STEP 4 - RETURN

We carry out the required repairs and return the car to you. Your insurance company settles the bill directly with us so you don’t have to worry about the bill. ( Note: If there is an excess on your policy you will need to pay that amount to us.)

POPULAR QUESTIONS

  • How insurance assesment works?

Back in the day the price of car crash repairs could fluctuate greatly. In recent years things have become a lot more predictable.

The insurance companies and the garages use a common computer system that estimates the work being carried out. So for example if you damage your bumper in an accident, the computer system has pricing on the parts including all clips and brackets required as well as the labour, paint & materials required. this has greatly imporoved the process for all parties involved.

The insurance companies know exactly what they are paying for and the garage can offer a pre-determined price that all parties can agree on.

  • What happens if I have an excess on my policy?

A ‘claim excess’ can be a part of some policies. What it means is that you pay the first few hundred euros of the claim cost (typically €200-€300). This is part of the condition of your policy and it is not something we can influence.

In situations where there is a ‘claim excess’ on your policy, the insurance company will pay us for the cost of the repair less the ‘claim excess’. You are then required to pay the excess on delivery of the car after repair.

  • It is your choice as to where your car is repaired?

If you have crashed your car or been crashed into, it is your choice as to where you get your car repaired. Sometimes your insurer may persuade you to one of their preferred providers for a variety of ëcommercialí reasons.
At Cardock we have no bias other than towards repairing your car to the best standard possible.
